Troubleshooting

No boards after login? One of four causes, every time.

An empty board list after a successful login is almost never a client bug. Work through the four causes below in order; the first three are fixed on the server in minutes.

1. The Deck app is not enabled on the server

Deck is a server app an admin must install and enable in Nextcloud's Apps section. If it is missing or disabled, every client, including the web interface, has no boards to show. Test: open your Nextcloud in a browser and look for Deck in the app menu. Not there? That is the whole problem.

2. Wrong account or wrong server

Boards belong to accounts. If you logged in to Deckloud with a different account than the one that owns the boards, or a different server (personal vs. work instance, old vs. new hostname), the empty list is correct. Check the account shown in Deckloud's settings against the browser session where you see the boards.

03

3. Sharing and permissions

Boards someone else created only appear once they are shared with your user or a group you belong to. If a teammate sees the board and you do not, the fix is the share dialog in the web app, not the client.

04

4. An actual sync problem

Only after the first three: check Deckloud's last successful sync and whether the server is reachable from the phone right now. A server that resolves only inside your home network (local DNS, VPN-only hostname) will log in on Wi-Fi and then show stale or empty data on cellular. Pull to refresh once the connection is confirmed.

FAQ

Practical questions

Boards show in the browser but not in Deckloud. Now what?

Confirm the app is signed in to the same account and server URL as that browser session, then check reachability from the phone's current connection and pull to refresh. That combination resolves nearly every remaining case.

Do archived boards show up?

Archived boards are kept out of the main list by design. Check the archive view before assuming data is missing.

Can Deckloud see boards the web app cannot?

No. Every client reads the same server API with your account's permissions. The web app is the reference: if a board is not there, no client can show it.
