What each format is for

Pick the format by what happens next.

  • Deck JSON, to move a board.

Deck's official board export. It keeps lists, cards, labels, due dates, and descriptions. Use it to copy a board to another server or keep a faithful archive.

  • CSV, to read a board elsewhere.

One row per card, for a spreadsheet, a report, or someone who never signs in to Nextcloud.

  • Import, to bring a board in.

Choose a Deck JSON export, and Deckloud recreates the board on your server as ordinary Deck data.

Where to find it

On iPhone, iPad, and Android, open a board and tap Board options. Tools holds Duplicate board, Import Nextcloud Deck JSON, Export Nextcloud Deck JSON, and Export CSV. In the desktop app, export from the board settings and import when you create a board. All of them need a live connection to your server.

03

What a transfer includes

The file carries board structure and card content. User accounts, share permissions, and activity history belong to the server and stay there. Attachments stay in Nextcloud Files; the export refers to them instead of bundling them.

FAQ

Practical questions

Can I export a Nextcloud Deck board to CSV?

Yes. Open the board, tap Board options, and choose Export CSV under Tools. You get one row per card.

What JSON format does the import expect?

The official Nextcloud Deck board export, from Deck itself or from Deckloud's Export Nextcloud Deck JSON.

Does importing a board send my data anywhere?

Only to the server you are signed in to, through the normal Deck API. In self-hosted mode, nothing passes through Deckloud.

Do attachments come with the export?

No. They stay in Nextcloud Files, and the export covers board and card content.

Is board transfer part of the free app?

Yes. Import and export are free in every Deckloud app.
